DESCRIPTION:Our next bookcrashers’ book is “A woman on the edge of time” by Jeremy Gavron.  One of our crashers knew Hannah Gavron and will be adding her personal insights to our discussions.  Please note that we are meeting at 1pm this month.  All are welcome\, whether you have read the book or not. \nMarch’s book will be “The House by the Lake” by Thomas Harding. \nWhy not get a copy of the book from the local independent book shop in Surbiton – Regency Bookshop?  You can order a book to be in the shop usually within 48 hours.  Order on Thursday and pick it up on the way to KLS on Saturday.

SUMMARY:Choir Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:Usually once or twice monthly on Tuesdays @ 8pm \nThe KLS Choir rehearses once or twice a month (and enjoy tea\, cake and chat!)\, and sings at the monthly music service on the 4th Friday of the month and at other services.  You don’t have to read music\, you don’t have to read Hebrew.  Come and try it!  Singing is a great way to meet people\, blow away life’s cobwebs\, contribute to KLS\, learn about our prayers and about Jewish music.  Interested?  Contact Sandra Webber via the KLS office.

DESCRIPTION:A talk by Dr Mark Woolfe about food fraud.  Mark has spoken about this before but ever new ways turn up of fooling us poor consumers. This is a new presentation not a repeat of the previous one he gave to Doroteinu so do come and hear about the latest dubious practices. \nIf you are planning to come by car we often need drivers to pick up the less mobile. Please contact the committee if you can help.  If you need transport please contact the committee or a local friend who you think might be going. \nDoroteinu means all ages\, so do come and join us – you don’t have to be retired.  Don’t forget anyone is welcome\, KLS member or not\, whether 18 or 95.  And the cakes are really nice. \nGuests are welcome to join us\, but please do let us know in advance so that we can give you a warm welcome. \n
