SUMMARY:Table Tennis Club
DESCRIPTION:2nd Tuesday of the month from 8-10pm \nAll welcome to join us for a friendly game of table tennis.  We meet monthly\, usually on the second Tuesday of the month\, at the synagogue in the NFJ Hall.  All ages and all abilities.  The club recently received a new table in celebration of Robert Markless’s tutorship of 100 Bnei Mitzvah. \nWe have two tables and play singles as well as doubles. We usually end the evening with all around the table\, when people have to keep moving around and hitting alternatively\, losing a “life” every time they lose a point. After three lives\, a person falls out. This continues until two left and they then play a best of five points singles. It can be very hectic at times\, but good fun. \nWe took part in a national tournament in 2012 and won a trophy! \nPlease contact the Synagogue Office if you would like to join us. \nThe new table tennis table is “christened”!!!\n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Join Rabbi René in celebrating the festival of Purim in the traditional way: The megillah (scroll) containing the book of Esther is read in synagogues to a congregation which is attired in fancy dress\, and who boo\, pantomime style\, whenever Haman’s name is mentioned\, making noise to blot out his name. We also have a developing early years’ programme\, Shabbatots\, which runs monthly when we have Family Services. \n  \nThe children have a short breaktime – please bring fruit for the snack.  There is a short assembly for all children each week\, and teaching in year groups.  Music\, art and Hebrew teaching feature for children in primary school. \n  \nThe 12-13 year olds prepare for B’nei Mitzvah\, then complete their Beiteinu experience in the Kabbalat Torah class. \n\nInterested in bringing your child to Beiteinu?  Please contact the office and we can arrange for you to talk to the Rabbi and the Beiteinu Head Teacher.
