SUMMARY:Hike/short walk/BBQ
DESCRIPTION:We are offering two different-paced walks followed by a BBQ at the home of KLS members in Reigate.  There will be a choice of routes: seasoned walkers can join Hilary and Clive for a medium length hike of 6 to 7 miles (meet at 10.50 am for 11 am start).  Or for a gentler pace join the short walk meet at 12.45 pm.  We will rendezvous at 2pm back in Reigate so any non-walkers can join us there for a repeat of last year’s delicious BBQ – please bring a salad or dessert to share.  There will be a charge of £2/head to cover the cost of the BBQ food. \nWe need to know numbers  for BBQ catering and any vegetarian or other dietary requirements so please RSVP by Wednesday\, 20th July.

SUMMARY:Table Tennis Club
DESCRIPTION:2nd Tuesday of the month from 8-10pm \nAll welcome to join us for a friendly game of table tennis.  We meet monthly\, usually on the second Tuesday of the month\, at the synagogue in the NFJ Hall.  All ages and all abilities.  The club recently received a new table in celebration of Robert Markless’s tutorship of 100 Bnei Mitzvah. \nWe have two tables and play singles as well as doubles. We usually end the evening with all around the table\, when people have to keep moving around and hitting alternatively\, losing a “life” every time they lose a point. After three lives\, a person falls out. This continues until two left and they then play a best of five points singles. It can be very hectic at times\, but good fun. \nWe took part in a national tournament in 2012 and won a trophy! \nPlease contact the Synagogue Office if you would like to join us \nThe new table tennis table is “christened”!!!\n. \n

SUMMARY:Picnic in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for a picnic and games in Marble Hill Park in Twickenham and enjoy an afternoon with old friends and getting to know new members. If you are new or relatively new to KLS this is a great opportunity to meet other members!  We will meet on the side of the park that backs onto Orleans Road (TW1 3BL). There is an entrance gate on Orleans Road with the Coach House Cafe ahead and towards the left; we usually meet on the green area towards the right before the cafe.  Bring along a picnic\, games\, rugs and anything else you can think of!  Parking is available on Orleans Road but on a fine day it can get busy so it may be necessary to use the car-park or to park on other residential roads nearby. There is also a café selling drinks and refreshments just a few minutes away from where we’ll meet.  If you feel adventurous you can park at Ham House\, on the other side of the river and there is a little ferry-boat that goes across from Ham House to Marble Hill Park. Just come off the boat\, turn left and right and the gate to the park is there. That car park can get busy too on a sunny day.

DESCRIPTION:Music Service with the KLS Choir\, and featuring guests who will reveal their choice of music as part of our regular Shabbat Island Discs feature\, which takes place on the fourth Friday night of each month.  As usual in these services the guests will be interviewed\, and this is a great opportunity to find out more about your fellow congregants. \nBring something to share for kiddush afterwards! \nBoth members and guests can take a turn at choosing the music. DESCRIPTION:Usually once or twice monthly on Tuesdays @ 8pm \nThe KLS Choir rehearses once or twice a month (and enjoy tea\, cake and chat!)\, and sings at the monthly music service on the 4th Friday of the month and at other services.  You don’t have to read music\, you don’t have to read Hebrew.  Come and try it!  Singing is a great way to meet people\, blow away life’s cobwebs\, contribute to KLS\, learn about our prayers and about Jewish music.  Interested?  Contact Sandra Webber via the KLS office.
