Bookcrashers

The next meeting of Bookcrashers will be on 15 November.  As its name might suggest, KLS’s book club welcomes gatecrashers who have not read the book being discussed.

But for those who do want to read the book, November’s is An Officer and a Spy by Robert Harris.

The book is a historical fiction thriller based on the true story of Georges Picquart as he struggles to expose the truth about the doctored evidence that sent the French Jewish artillery officer Alfred Dreyfus to Devil’s Island.  It won this year’s Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction
